Downtown Rundown 1/20

So, if you've made it this far, you're obviously interested in a comprehensive listing of the events that are about to take over Downtown this weekend. Well then, let's not waste any more time. Here's your Downtown Rundown:

Friday, January 20th:

-The Kroger Cabin Fever Series rolls back in town with the Craig Wollard Band at 6:30pm at the Roanoke Civic Center.

-Virginia Tech's Club Hockey takes on the University of Maryland-Baltimore County at 7:30pm at the Roanoke Civic Center.

-John Gorka and Mercy Creek come into Kirk Avenue Music Hall for a special show at 8pm.

-Talk is Cheap  plays at Blue 5 at 9pm.

-The Allen Thompson Band and Relacksachian play a FREE show at Martin's Downtown Bar and Grill starting at 10pm.

Saturday, January 21st:

-Virginia Tech's Club Hockey team comes back early to take on Temple at the Roanoke Civic Center at 1pm.

-The Square Society is holding the annual Black and White Masquerade Ball at the Hotel Roanoke at 7pm. Don't have tickets but still want to go? Check out their website for information.

-Local favorites Will Hoge and Corey Hunley rock Kirk Avenue Music Hall at 8pm.

-The Ministers of Soul are at Blue 5 at 9pm.

-Barefoot West plays a FREE show at Martin's Downtown Bar and Grill starting at 10pm!

Sunday, January 22nd:

-The Souper Bowl III comes to the Taubman Museum of Art at noon for a special engagement. If you don't know much about this event, it features soup from 20 different restaurants, and all the proceeds benefit the Rescue Mission and Roanoke Area Ministries. Each paying customer gets a handmade, one of a kind bowl from local artists, and gets their pick of each of the 20 soups to eat. Interested?
